20CrMnTi is a carburizing and quenching steel material, which is mostly used for gears, shafts, pistons and other parts in industrial equipment. It has high impact resistance at high speed, medium and heavy loads. After carburizing and quenching, the hardness is between HRC58-62. .
First, Place the parts in a carburizing and quenching furnace, and raise the temperature to 915-925°C within 3 hours.
Secondly, make the gear carburizing and quenching heat treatment for 3h in this temperature environment.
Again, the temperature was rapidly lowered to 855-865°C within 0.5h.
Finally, constant temperature quenching treatment was performed for 50 min.
It is worth noting that during this process, the temperature of the quenching liquid should be kept at 80 °C. After this process is completed, the gear is placed in a tempering furnace, and the gear is tempered at a temperature of 155-165 ° C for 2 hours to complete the carburizing and quenching heat treatment process.
After carburizing and quenching, the deformation is large and the hardness is high. Usually, the grinding process is used for finishing. However, due to the low grinding efficiency and high cost, many factories currently use a new process of turning instead of grinding.
SBH series tools are selected by turning process replace grinding process, which can be processed for continuous, medium interrupted, strong interrupted and other working conditions. Due to the high hardness after carburizing and quenching, it is necessary to choose a tool with better heat resistance and impact resistance. At present, SBH series inserts can be used for processing, SBH130 grades are used continuously, and SBH170 grades are used intermittently.
