What is a CBN Inserts?

• CBN, short for cubic boron nitride, is a material with very high hardness. Due to its excellent impact strength and wear resistance, it is often used as a tool material for metal cutting.

What materials are CBN inserts suitable for Machining?

1. High hardness cast iron castings: such as high chromium cast iron, alloy cast iron, nickel hard cast iron, white cast iron, etc. The common typical parts are rolls, slurry pumps, wear-resistant castings, etc.;

2. Ordinary gray iron parts: such as gray iron 250, FC250, FC300, the common typical parts are brake disc, brake drum, engine block, pulley, air conditioner compressor, clutch, etc.;

3. High-hardness steel parts: such as high-manganese steel, hardened steel, high-speed steel, etc., typical parts include high-speed steel rolls, rolling mortar walls, hardened steel gears, bearings, etc.
